The Jill Yan group started around 1999, we could qualify our music as "Rock-Fusion Instrumental".

We released eight album since then and played gigs in Europe. We used to play as a trio but, at this time (April 2021), we just add a keyboard player.

​

Our influences could go from Allan Holdsworth, Strapping Young Lad, Chick Corea, Deftones, Steve Vai, hardcore bands, traditional flamenco and arabic music and so many others, but, anyway,  the rules, either when we compose or play is : there is no rules. In fact, we just play what we want without compromising and we believe that the music we play is like we are.

Each time we played, most of the person really like the music very much and says that this music, make them "travel" in their minds, which, for us, is a great compliment.
